At our regular lunchtime meeting on Thursday, 11th November, we had a double pleasure with the visit of DG Bob Barclay as well as the induction of two Honorary Members Robert Leak, Chairman of Hornchurch 41 Club and Andrew Liddell, Chairman of Hornchurch Round Table.
President John did the honours when he inducted both to be honorary members of our club. Both new members then made an interesting induction acceptance speech.
DG Bob made a informative speech on behalf of Rotary GB&I President Ray Klinginsmith
Bob added his own special message by bringing greetings from President Mark Evans of Chelmer Bridge Rotary Club, and stressed the special relationship we have with his club. He also added his personal condolences for the loss of his good friend and mentor, our own Bert Evans.
It is always a pleasure to see Bob, and we wish him well for the rest of his year of office.
