Pupils from St Margaret’s Preparatory School in Gosfield have supported the Rotary Shoebox scheme for many years and this year was no exception with nearly a hundred boxes being filled.
Past President Mike Prince went along to collect the boxes and was ably assisted by pupils, (l-r) Ruby Rose (deputy Head Girl), Joe Reed (head boy), Stella Gray (head girl) and Luke Pepper (deputy head boy)
This year the Shoebox scheme was also supported by staff from Halstead based Holmes & Hills and Rotary president elect Dave Rosoman collected them from Jan
The gift of a shoebox that contains toys, toiletries, educational items or household goods is a drop of happiness to the people of Eastern Europe who live in a world of poverty. For many, it will be the first present that they have ever received and it lets them know that somebody somewhere cares. If you would like to take part, we would love to hear from you.
