Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA)
Presentation by this years RYLA candidate Sam James
At the end of August this year our selected candidate for this years Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) scheme attended the one week course at Graffham Water in Cambridgeshire. The course is very similar to an 'Outward Bound' course, though at Grafham water it is very much water based, and is designed to develop leadership skills.
Our candidate was Sam James (18) from Sible Hedingham who gave an excellent presentation and showed some wonderful photo's about his experience on the course.
At the end of his presentation he clearly wanted to express his appreciation and said, "I really enjoyed the course and got so much out of it. I would like to thank Halstead Rotary for such a wonderful opportunity, it's an experience I will always remember"
