Rotary Kids in Mind zoo trip 12th June 2026
In June each year, as part of the national day for Rotary Kids-in-Mind, the Club organises a trip to Colchester Zoo for groups of disadvantaged children from local schools.
This year, children, with teachers/carers, attended from: Lexden springs; Market fields; North primary & Kingswood Hoe schools.
On arrival each school group had the traditional photograph taken with the Club President and the Rotary wheel, before they were launched into the Zoo with their teachers/carers to see all the amazing range of birds, animals snakes etc. Everyone meeting up again for lunch provided by the Club.
After lunch, tremendous fun was had in the zoo’s adventure playground, before returning to their schools.

The entries need to be submitted by the week beginning Monday 3rd November and the awards afternoons will be Friday 20th November for Young Artist and Friday 27th November for Young Writer.

A friendly competitive festival for individuals, voice, instrumental, ensembles and choirs. St Botolph's Church 19th - 21st March 2027. Young Musician and Singer go forward to Rotary Essex event, and possibly the Rotary National Finals

The Rotary Club of Colchester provides volunteers to help Action for Family Carers to run a Young Carers club in the city
