Young Writer
We are delighted to announce the winners and runners up from this year’s Colchester Rotary Club Young Writers Competition. There are four categories, Key Stage 1, Juniors, Intermediate and Seniors and we had 66 entries from 9 schools.
The winners were: Muhammed Sameer Khan, (Hamilton Road School) Diza Onitiju (St George’s Junior School) Haneefa Hussain Gilberd School ) and Maisie Ager (Gilberd School). Their work now goes forward to Rotary District 1240 for further judging (encompassing the whole of Essex and part of Hertfordshire) and possibly up to Rotary’s national level.

The Runners up were: Malachi Prestney, (Layer de la Haye School) Adhira Singh,( Hamilton Road School) Linton Whittaker ( Philip Morant School) and Ellie Briggs( Gilberd School)
