This being a Fellowship Meeting, we decided to pay a return visit to The Hive. Out thanks to member Alison Moses for arranging it.
Seventeen of us attended (16 members and one spouse). Some of us had ordered through Alison in advance, which gave her some idea of how many to expect. Her estimate was one short, so we had to add an extra chair. The coped well and we all appreciated the meals they provided.
Because of the numbers, they had given us a long table in their second room. That did leave less space for other diners. The rest of the place was crowded. The weather was cold but otherwise reasonable, which may have encouraged people to visit the Chelmsford Museum in which the Hive is situated and the adjoining Oaklands Park.
There was no formal agenda. We simply socialised among ourselves. Dining with friends is an enjoyable way of spending a lunchtime.
Seventeen attendees is more than we usually get these days. Perhaps we should review the format of other meetings!
