Christmas Party

Thu, Dec 12th 2024 at 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

(At the Ivy Hill Hotel.) Our time for a celebration, with entertainment provided by our own members.

A Christmas wreath with a Rotary wheel in it.

There were 22 of us at the Club’s Christmas Party: 15 member, one honorary member and six guests. As always, the Ivy Hill Hotel provided a superb meal.

Three people sitting at a large dining table, two of them wearing green paper crownsThere was a buzz of conversation throughout. Angela Dickman had placed on each table a sheet showing some “Christmas Dingbats”. We had to work out the Christmas phrase from the dingbat. For example, “Caribbean Offspring Hey Hi Hello” gave us “Season’ Greetings” (Sea - Sons - Greetings). There were twenty in all.

After the lunch Anne Moriaty, Keith Otter, Keith Dabbs and President Francis all gave Christmas readings.
