Sandra Cole: Kids Inspire

Today we heard from Sandra Cole of Kids Inspire, President Francis’s chosen charity for 2024-25. We were pleased to welcome Francis back after his recent brush with Covid.
Sandra seemed to think that she was our first speaker from Kids Inspire but Katherine Loveday from the charity spoke to us in May. However, Sandra did give us more up-to-date figures which showed that their work has increased even in the five months since then. They still intend to expand beyond Essex. Their founder, Sue Bell, even has ambitions to spread the work to the whole of the country. To do this, of course, they need to attract more support. Their current funding comes from local authority grants and donations from other organisations, companies and individuals. There are also volunteering opportunities with the charity, including fundraising and mentoring.
