The main item for discussion at this month’s business meeting related to the venues for future meetings.
It did not take long for us to agree that for the second half of the year we should continue our current pattern with meetings on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Chelmsford Rugby Club and on the fourth Thursdays at the Ivy Hill Hotel. The members approved the arrangement made by President Francis that on any fifth Thursdays we should hold a joint evening meeting with other local Clubs, with the Clubs taking turns to act as hosts.
There was a lot more discussion of venues for the informal meetings on the second Thursdays of each month. There were numerous suggestions from members regarding venues or charities we could visit, which our Secretary duly noted.
