The Treasurer reported that we had paid for a new supply of speakers’ pens and made a donation of £700 to the Rotary Foundation of the UK from the Club’s Trust Fund. It was noted that we will be hosting a quiz in support of the Wilderness Foundation on Saturday, 11 November, and that the District Forum will be held on Saturday, 18 November.

Average attendance during October was 52%; only five members took part in the scatter week. Rickard Luckin have joined us as Friends of Rotary and expressed an interest in helping with the pantomime visit.

The Environment Committee and the Youth Service Committee are working together to distribute purple crocus corms to local primary schools in support of the End Polio Now campaign. Club members will attend the Chelmsford Competitive Music Festival on 4 and 11 November with a view to selecting potential competitors for Rotary Young Musician.
