Summer garden party

In warm and sunny weather
Twelve members and two guests assembled at Anne and Steve Moriaty’s home for today’s Summer Garden Party. We were all asked to bring our own picnic food. Anne and Steve provided soft drinks tea and coffee; some members contributed cakes. Donations were invited for Southend Hospital’s Spotlight Radiotherapy Appeal; we raised £200 including Gift Aid.
We had the benefit of sunny weather. Anne and Steve had put up a gazebo, which provided some shelter from the sun. One of their trees gave additional shade.
We all agreed it was an enjoyable occasion and a great time to relax among friends.
