This was our last Rotary meeting for 2022-23. The Treasurer reported on the movements on the Club and Trust Funds. The Club Administration Committee referred to the changes in meeting arrangements from 1 July and said the pattern of meetings would be reviewed in September so that venues could be booked in good time.
Two potential new members attended the meeting on 25 May. One of these has decided not to join the Club but to become a Friend of Rotary and help at Club events. The Membership and Public Image Committee is discussing the production of a new pull-up banner featuring a photograph of Club events.
In order to continue our popular Blister Pack Project it may be necessary to purchase collection boxes at £200 a time. When full these will be collected by TerraCycle but we will then have to pay for another box.
It was noted that the Wilderness Foundation, a corporate member of the Rotary Club of Southend City, will be the District lead on the environment in the next Rotary year.
