Liz told us that she suffered from bipolar disorder. At one time she tried to kill herself and was sectioned ten times. The psychiatrists who treated her put her on medication until she finally saw a Nigerian psychiatrist who looked at matters from a completely different direction and had a more holistic approach. He helped her without the use of drugs.

She was led to found Heads2Minds to provide help for others who also suffered from mental illness. As a sufferer herself she understood their situations and was able to assist them as a holistic therapist. She apologised for arriving at our meeting slightly late as she had been held up speaking on the telephone to someone in dire need of her help and support.

Liz spoke very enthusiastically about Heads2Minds and the support it was able to give to those suffering from mental problems. They were enabled to understand their conditions and develop ways of dealing with them. The charity also gives guidance and advice to relevant professionals.
