We had a great time at President Anne’s house on Rotary Day, 23 February 2019, for a coffee morning to raise money for the fight against polio. It was attended by Rotarians, spouses and widows of Rotarians and members of Anne’s family. Anne’s husband Steve, a regular at Rotary functions, poured numerous cups of tea and coffee.

Steve did a good job of getting visitors moving smoothly through the kitchen. Little knots of chatting (and eating) people could be found in two of the other rooms. A lot of notes went into the bowl left out for donations and £165 was raised. Our thanks to President Anne and Steve for making us all feel so welcome and to everyone who provided cakes for the occasion. [I’m not sure what they did for my cholesterol level, though - Webmaster]
