Spiral Well
30th July 2018
Past President George Irvine reported at the 1st business meeting of the year, that the total collected in the Spiral Well had been £1155. Let's hope that we can raise enough by the end of 2018 to provide another pump for a child with diabetes
February saw a dip in takings in the spiral well only £72
Amount collected December 2017 £174
In the main corridor of Ayr Hospital, directly opposite the cafe, you will find the Rotary Club of Alloway's Spiral Well. In the Rotary year July 2016/June 2017 the public donated over £800 into this well. A Rotarian from the club gave an anonymous donation to top this money up to allow us to purchase a paediatric insulin pump, at a cost of circa £2500.If you see this well at the hospital, and have some loose change in your purse or pocket, please drop it in to the well, and help us provide another paediatric insulin pump.
This Rotary year July 2017/June 2018 we have raised the following amounts.
July £45, August £51, September £85, October £64 November £137 December £174The simple act of putting a sign up, on the pump, to say where the money is going, has made an incredible difference.
We are well on our way to purchasing pump number three. The Spiral Well has been a major success.
