Our Sports Competition has been expanded to include a wider range of activites and so we now have a Fellowship competiton with the focus on fun and socialising rather than competition. A change on rules now means that doing well in a competition doesn't gain you a big advantage. Hopefully a broader range of events will enciurge braod perticipation. Turning up gets you a point with the top 3 getting 3, 2 & 1 extra points.
First 'event' was the crazy/adventure golf at Great Western Golf, Clydebank. Members visited Great Western Golf » Jurassic Parrr! on 18th Sept for a fun day out as the first social event of our Rotary year. You play amongst the dinosaurs. Losing a ball is a possibilty although only one person managed this but like being on an actual golf course when you go looking for your ball you will probably find another one, as was the case for Ian. A enjoyable afternoon for all ages. We will be back. Great Western Golf » Jurassic Parrr!
Additional points on the day to Stuart (3), Bill (2) and Vincent (1).
Future Fellowship events in the planning are 10 pin bowling, carpet bowls, table tennis, 'round robin' event and who knows what else.
