The Rotary Club of Derby undertakes a number of projects to help raise awareness of Rotary’s efforts to “End Polio Now”. Over the years we have embraced the “purple4polio” campaign and have planted purple crocuses, arranged for local landmarks to be lit up purple and sold polio crocus pins.
Purple crocuses
Each year the club plants crocuses around the City planting at the University of Derby and Arboretum Park amongst others.
This year our crocuses are being planted in new locations in the community with the aid of various community friends groups, these include:
Make a donation to End Polio Now through our Facebook page and every £1 will be worth £3 as your donation will receive match funding through Rotary International and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
