The Club's Repair cafes help to reuse, repair and recycle items instead of adding to the millions of tonnes of landfill every year. The volunteers have repaired wooden items, lamps, even a garden brush and saved them from being thrown away. As part of an international repair movement the Café will be held again on Saturday 23rd March from 10.00am to 1pm at the Bakewell Methodist Church Hall.
Come and have a look at what we do and just enjoy a cuppa or bring along a sewing repair (not alterations), a portable electrical item or just something that needs to be glued or screwed. We will try to help.
If you fancy helping to do the mending then get in touch with our Co-ordinator, Margie Stuckey on 01629 813638 and we would be more than happy to welcome you.
