The Rotary Club of Bakewell Small Grants Scheme is available to help community and voluntary sector organisations or groups with projects that are of benefit to the wider community of Bakewell and district. It provides non-recurrent grants of up to £400. The projects should be small-scale and provide opportunities for local people to be involved in their local community. We have assisted local schools to fund gardening and sensory equipment, funded the purchase of games for the Farming Life Centre social group, helped out with the Bakewell Youth Theatre and the Bakewell Day of Dance as well as Hathersage Befrienders and Youlgreave Scout and Community Hall. These grass roots entities are the people that we want to help.
The Grants are funded by activities put on by the Rotary Club of Bakewell such as our upcoming annual Brass in the Park concert during Bakewell Carnival week. This year's concert will begin at the earlier time of 6.30pm on Wednesday 1st July at the Bakewell Recreation Ground. So by enjoying the evening you can help to support local groups through this Scheme.
The application process is just one simple form telling us about your project and how it will help in your local community. We want to make a difference. To apply for a Small Grant please email to bakewellrotarysmallgrants@
It is expected that successful applications will receive the funding within 6 weeks of the closing date of applications
