World Water Day

Sun, Mar 22nd 2026 at 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

The World Water Day 2026 theme is "Water and Gender," with the campaign slogan "Where water flows, equality grows."

Celebrated on March 22, this campaign highlights the critical link between water, sanitation, and gender equality, focusing on the disproportionate impact of water scarcity on women and girls and elevating their role in decision-making.

ROTARY DISTRICT 1220 and the CHESTERFIELD CANAL TRUST will be supporting the United Nations World Water Day on 22nd March 2026 at the Hollingwood Hub. The event aims to show how Rotary is involved in projects to provide safe drinking water the world over. The Aquabox challenge will also take place which aims to raise awareness with young people of their humanitarian work around the world saving lives in times of crisis. Rotarian Val Leivers has previously been heavily involved in supporting this event in India.
