Pantomime Visit
Nineteen Rotarians, friends and family members had a great Christmas social meeting. They met up at Rock House for drinks and nibbles (kindly put on by Richard and Sue) before heading off to the Sleeping Beauty Pantomime in Wells - which was great fun.
Guest Speaker
We had a great guest speaker - Rob Harper a Local caver - who visited us in December, he was a great very enthusiastic speaker and clearly loved his caving. His photos of narrow entries reconfirmed to most - no, all of us that we do not want to go caving.
Christmas Party
Another fun evening for all. We had a really lovely meal at Anton’s followed by a challenging quiz created by Andy Coulson. With teams of four or more it was a very close game and by only half a point, Richard Leworthy’s team won. We then had a secret Santa where everyone was a winner.

Santa Fun Run
The Gods were with us again, the weather wasn’t as bad as predicted and thanks to the fun run team and all the volunteers we were able to put on the event for a third-year running. We had over 200 entries, a big increase from last year’s 120 entries. With the additional footfall and visitors to Santa’s Grotto the marketplace was full of Christmas cheer. All runners received their medals and hats and enjoyed having photos with the Mayor. The (fake) snow fell as predicted and the children LOVED it! We have some amazing pictures on the Santa Fun Run – Wells Facebook page (or here) if you want to have a look.
