SATURDAY 22nd FEBRUARY 2025
Wells & Mendip Museum on the Cathedral Green in Wells tells the story of the Mendip landscape and its inhabitants. Exhibits include a large collection of geological specimens as well as archaeological and social history artefacts. Opened in 2024, two new galleries tell the story of the City of Wells through the ages.
The Museum Trustees supported by Wells Rotary has called out to the local artist community to help raise funds to continue to develop the museum's exhibition spaces and maintain its beautiful building and collections.
The request is to supply 3 postcard sized unframed pieces of art in any medium with pieces welcome from all ages, from beginner to professional. All submissions will be displayed in the Museum Lecture Hall from the 21st to 22nd February 2025.
Use the link below to browse the on-line catalogue also available under Meetings & Events on this Website.
Confidential bids for individual pieces can be made online or at the exhibition. Bids to be at a reserve price of £20 or above. The silent auction will open early January and will be accessible via the following link.

For unsold items, subject to the agreement of the artist concerned, the On-Line Catalogue will re-oped for further bids but with no reserve price.
Thankyou in anticipation, please share this invitation with your artist friends, your participation helps to ensure that the Museum survives and thrives.
