Troutlings released into wild

Bug Safari at Fox Hill Bank Nature Reserve

Church & Oswaldtwistle Rotary in conjunction with The River Ribble Trust have been able to fund a Trout Tank each year that rotates around different schools.

Hippings Methodist Primary School Rotakids have had the tank in Class 5 since December, when the troutlings were introduced.  The Rotakids have been watching them grow and learning about the lifespan of trout, thanks to workshops delivered by the River Ribble Trust.

Recently the Rotakids spent the morning at Fox Hill Bank Nature Reserve releasing the troutlets from their trout tank.  They also had a workshop on water safety, and undertook a bug safari in the river.  The lovely spring weather added to the enjoyment of the day.
