Direct Members & World Ocean Day

Recording of seminar by the Weird Fish Lady, and volunteering opportunities on the NW England coast

Gloria Barnett

The Rotary Direct Member Hub in Cumbria & Lancashire celebrated World Ocean Day with presentations by Gloria Barnett and Georgia de Jong Cleyndert.

Gloria, also known as The Weird Fish Lady, is an ocean expert, underwater videographer, and award-winning author. A passionate and engaging speaker, she shares real underwater footage and first-hand experiences from her dives around the world to reveal why oceans matter and how we can protect them. Her talks are informative, inspiring, and thought-provoking—leaving audiences with a deeper understanding of the marine world and our responsibility to care for it.

Georgia de Jong Cleyndert, Head of Marine with North West Wildlife Trusts shared with us some potential volunteering opportunities in our coastal areas.  Click here for details.
