Santa sleigh

Santa sleigh

Santa and his lovely sleigh were out on 5 evenings in December, with lots of excited children coming out to talk to him.  We could not operate the sleigh without the help of the local Explorers - scouts between 14-18 years.  The Explorers who help us are our Rossendale Interact club.  Interact clubs bring together young people aged 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self - which maps very well onto the scouting ethos.  Thanks to the generosity of local residents, a goodly sum was raised, which will be used to benefit community projects in the next twelve months.
