The picture shows President of Penrith Rotary Club Malcolm Boyd with North-West District Rotarian Kevin Walsh, giving a donation to Sunny Akuopha the President of Bamako West Rotary Club from Mali, West Africa. Sunny was visiting Cumbria as part of a UK visit to foster his relationship with local Rotary Clubs.

Mali, in West Africa is one of the poorest countries in the world. Two thirds of the country is desert and rainfall is variable and unpredictable. Clean drinking water and basic medical care and supplies are a constant challenge.
