so come along ang grab a bargain - or several!
Our fiction section contains many a rattling good yarn including early and modern classics of English literature, literary novels, spy stories, detective novels (‘The normal recreation of the noble mind’), even chick-lit & bodice-rippers.
There are non-fiction sections on arts & crafts, biography & autobiography, country life & natural history, Folio Society fine editions, food & drink, gardening, history, reference books, sports & games, travel & topography, and a miscellaneous section of various other subjects.
We also stock childrens and young adults books.
Rotarians from the Appleby Club usually man the shop on Saturdays from 10am until 3pm.
(9.30am until 3pm on the last Saturday of the month when there is also a craft and produce fair)
The shop is also open on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 10-3 when the highly-commended café is open, and at other times when The Hub is hosting various events (an honesty box system applies then) so you can browse - and buy - while enjoying good food and drink.
For more information or if to check on opening times or to donate books
please telephone 017683 52282.
All proceeds from the bookshop go to Rotary supported good causes.
