Spring is springing, the crocuses and snowdrops are out with the daffs already breaking through the soil, so its time to make plans for coming to Appleby!
The Appleby Rotary Club is organising its annual classic car tour, the Tour of Cumbria for Saturday 10th. May. The start in Appleby will be at 10.00am. and the tour will close, also in Appleby at about 4.00pm
The route is newly planned and it will be focussed on the highways and byways of the county, aiming to introduce new views and great roads, even to the locals who take part. As always, the pace will be relaxed so entrants can take photographs, take in the views and stop for local ice cream. All interesting cars are welcome, pre and post war, but if the classic car needs fettling, entrants are welcome to bring the daily driver so they can still join in with the famous craic at the breakfast, lunch and tea stops.
