Towards the back end of last year our environmental team with support from the City of Edinburgh Council (CEC ) Parks and Green Spaces team cleared the ground at the side entrance to Rosebery Halls Community Centre which had been neglected for years and had become an overgrown weed and rubbish strewn eyesore .
The team completed phase 2 last week with the preparation of the ground by laying weed repellent membrane and the planting of circa 50 shrubs kindly supplied by the CEC Inch Nursery. The final phase will be laying a covering of woodchip which again we hope our friends in the Parks Dept will provide and we will then repaint the unsightly back wall. This will make the entrance to the halls used by many baby, toddler and nursery parents and carers a much more welcoming experience and will improve the vista for the residents of Hill Court flats who overlook this area.
