On Thursday 8th June, members and guests of the Rotary Club of South Queensferry heard a talk from Ally Mitchell from Ocean Plastic Pots. These are plant pots made from discarded rope and fishing net removed from the island of Ulva off Mull on the west coast of Scotland. Most recycled beach plastic turns grey as all the colours mix together during the recycling process, creating a lovely deep matt textured finish. Ally’s fascinating talk prompted many questions from the floor.
