Gerald Smith will host a quiz for members
Raffle - Charlie Wright
Reception - David Buchanan / Colin Riddell

On Thursday 2nd May, members and guests of the Rotary Club of South Queensferry took part in a quiz in the Hawes Inn. Questions were set by Gerald Smith who also acted as quizmaster. Twelve teams of three tackled topics ranging from general knowledge, sport and music to facts about Rotary. As always, Gerald's questions were an entertaining mix of facts which taxed the brain cells and memory. The winning team, by one point, consisted of Junior Vice-president Irene Brownless, Vice President Jim McCulloch and guest Beth Christie. They each received a miniature trophy and bottle of whisky (also miniature) courtesy of Gerald.

In his opening remarks, President Sandy Mackenzie thanked Gerald for arranging the quiz. He also warmly welcomed long-standing member and past president Kate Gibb who had not been able to visit the club for some time. Gerald Smith was introduced by David Buchanan, the vote of thanks was proposed by Colin Riddell.
