Rotary Presidents Wine Tour
The Rotary Club of Llanidloes enjoyed their Presidents away day with a trip to Kerry Vale Vineyard. The club who were joined by friends and members of Llanidloes Inner Wheel were greeted at the Vineyard by owner Geoff. Kerry Vale is a relatively young Vineyard which was only planted in 2010, however it has already made a name for itself by winning awards with its fine wines. After a pleasant walk through the estate Geoff gave an informative talk on wine making whilst the club sampled a selection of wines. Peter McCready, the President of Llanidloes Rotary Club thanked Geoff for a fantastic Tour before joining the rest of the club and friends to a meal at the local Inn, The Kerry Lamb. Looking ahead, Rotarian John Selwyn Smith will be holding an Art sale over the weekend, 07th ~ 09th August in the old Llanidloes Midland Bank Chambers. All are welcome and any donations and monies from refreshments will be in aid of Noah's Ark Appeal.
