"No one should use art to rewrite history else risk distorting the truth for future generations" Charles says. "I use professional quality oil paint on canvas and I am influenced by the methodology of the Great Masters of a bygone age. Accuracy in machinery depiction demands illustration and the ‘art’ comes from the setting, atmosphere, and most importantly emotions stirred by those who have been touched by aviation both in the air and on the ground."
Charles visits us today from his home in Shawbury and has paintings and prints available for sale on his website www.aeroartist.com/ and via his Facebook page Aviation Art studio of Charles E McHugh.
