David Gordon's speaker today is Nick Finlay, Past-President of Sittingbourne Invicta Rotary Club, who is also chair of trustees of The Peace and Hope Trust, a UK based charity working in Nicaragua, and today he will be speaking to us about that project.
Nick Finlay has a personal association with Nicaragua as his wife was born there.
The Peace and Hope Trust aims to bring practical help to an impoverished people who live on the eastern coast of the country; they build schools and toilets, replace roofs and own a coffee farm which employs local people and is also currently growing experimental, highly nutritious crops.
