Friday 1st October saw the national launch of the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I) "Thanks for Life" campaign, which kick started activities by thousands of volunteers across the country as they support the latest stage of Rotary's campaign against polio.
Thanks to a blooming partnership between Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I), the Eden Project's Big Bulb Plant and the International Flower Bulb Centre (IFBC), the "Thanks for Life" campaign will bring a splash of colour all across Great Britain and Ireland as thousands of purple Ruby Giant crocus bulb are planted. The bold purple colour symbolises the dye used to mark a child's little finger once they have been immunised against polio.
In Oswestry we are brightening up the community and bringing people together by planting purple giant crocus bulbs this week.
