Rotary (worldwide) was 112 years old last Friday 7 July. Wadebridge Rotary Club decided to use this anniversary to help raise funds for the 'Help End Polio' Campaign (with input from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation some £600 was raised, which is sufficient to immunise 3000 children) and at the same time offer an opportunity to Know Your Blood Pressure... This was achieved through the good services of The Stroke Association and, on the day, Norman Trebilcock, of FLEET.
Tea was served in the Town Hall to help raise the End Polio money, plants were available to purchase along with a wonderful selection of Birthday Cards - all courtesy of Ann Mitchell; thank you Ann. And we must also say a big thank you to the Co-op and Tesco for their contributions.
