Classic Car Show

Under glorious sunshine and blue skies, the Penzance promenade came alive for our much-anticipated Classic Car and Motorbike Show—an annual celebration of vintage motoring, community spirit, and charitable causes.

Over 110 cherished vehicles, ranging from gleaming classic cars to powerful motorbikes—and even a rare steam car—were proudly displayed by owners from across West Cornwall and beyond. Each vehicle came with a story, a history, and an owner eager to share their passion with a sea of visitors.

The promenade buzzed with excitement as families, enthusiasts, and holidaymakers strolled through rows of vintage vehicles, snapping photos and chatting with the owners. The summer heat was no match for the cheerful mood, with ice cream, cold drinks, and local refreshments providing a welcome treat for everyone.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music filled the air throughout the day.

Performances by local senior school bands, the Silver Band, and the much-loved Golowan Band brought energy, nostalgia, and community pride to the event.

A key part of the day was the support shown for Cornwall Blood Bikes, a voluntary charity providing a vital, free-of-charge, out-of-hours medical courier service. Cornwall Blood Bikes transport blood, plasma, medication, and other urgent medical supplies between hospitals, hospices, and care facilities—saving lives and supporting the NHS across the region.

The event proved once again why it’s a highlight of the summer calendar—a celebration not only of classic engineering, but of the people, music, and generosity of our local community.

We’d like to thank all the vehicle owners, bands, volunteers, and of course, the public, for making this year’s show such a memorable day.

See you next year!
