Funds for the relief of hardship among local Primary School pupils

Rotarians care about communities and families.

The Rotary Shop in Penzance is staffed entirely by volunteers. Helpers give up a couple of hours of their time  periodically, in order to help run the shop. The Shop is now a registered charity in it's own right and has the object of providing financial support to local wefare, sports and community groups that may struggle to raise funds on their own.

Amongst other beneficiaries, Penzance Rotary has provided funds to twenty three local schools for the express purpose of the money to help relieve hardship amongst the most seriously deprived young families.

Since the Rotary Shop opened, over £150,000 has already been distributed locally.

The Rotary Shop is always very grateful for the donation of your quality, saleable, second-hand possessions if you no longer use or need them or they are just hidden away in cupboards and drawers, attics and spare rooms. The purchasers of your donations will have the chance to enjoy them, to give them a new lease of life - but equally importantly, your items help to raise money to support both needy people and worthwhile causes
