Walk a Mile for Polio

Saturday August 23rd found a group of Rotarians from Kingsbridge, supported by Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary club with friends also joining us, meet up mat the Creek's End on the quay in Kingsbridge at the start of the Club's effort to raise funds for the “Walk a Mile for Polio” initiative. The walk followed the creek for approximately half a mile as far as the "Crabshell Inn"  where liquid refreshments were enjoyed before the return to the Creeks End where a lunch of Bacon Baps was provided before the group dispersed. The total amount raised had not been confirmed at the time of this report but is expected to be in excess of £500.

A successful morning enjoyed by all involved. Club members who were unavailable on the day completed their own individual activities for the same cause.
