Youth Events
Dartmouth Rotary organises youth speaks competitions for local schools.
Rotary has various programmes for Youth. Those of particular relevance to this club are:
Rotary Youth Speaks
To encourage speaking and presentation skills in young people this competition allows young people to try out being a public speaker with two other young people acting as chairperson and giver of a vote of thanks. Several local schools participate. It is a competition and local winners go on to compete in a county wide final.
Books for Life
Books for Life is a programme where when leaving primary school each student is presented with a book by the then president of our club. This has been running for many years and several local schools are covered each year in Dartmouth Blackawton and Stoke Fleming.
