Older men, men with a family history of prostate cancer and black men are more at risk.
It is estimated that over 11,000 men die every year which amounts to one man every 45 minutes. This means there is a significant need to increase awareness, treatments and research. With early diagnosis the survival rate is improving and can often lead to morre successful care.
To raise awareness and funds Bikers (Rotarians and friends) completed a 'Rotary Ride' along the Connswater Community Greenway. This beautiful linear walkway follows the course of three rivers that split into two different routes - Victoria Park along the Connswater River following the the route along the Knock River to Marsh-wiggle Way and Braniel or Victoria Park along the Connswater River and following the Loop River up to Cregagh Glen.
