Tuesday last, saw Verity Swan visit Rotary Newtownabbey. In July 2013, Verity became District Governor of District 1160 (Ireland) - the first woman to achieve that office in the 102 year history of Rotary International in Ireland. She was greeted by our own first woman President of Rotary Newtownabbey Brenda Crotty, Verity gave an overview as how Rotary is evolving both in Ireland and internationally.
