About us

Rotary Club of Grangemouth

The Rotary Club of Grangemouth was founded in 1949 and has continued to serve the local community in Grangemouth and surrounding district.

Our Mother Club is Falkirk and strong links still exist between the clubs, with a joint meeting held every year.

The club currently meets in the Leapark Hotel Grangemouth, and previously met in the Grange Manor Hotel and Galloway's Restaurant in the Town.

The Club continues to thrive with the current membership of 37, and has an active programme throughout the year.

One of our members, John Kenny was District Governor in 1984, RIBI President in 1993 and  Rotary International President in 2009-10.

To commemorate John's year as RI President a water harvesting project was set up. This project has expanded and a recent communication indicated that there are now 90 such schemes in the area. John is a very good ambasador for Rotary and for the Grangemouth Club in particular.

The Club supports many local charities throughout the year. The annual Santa Float collection supports Grangemouth based charities. Our Sportsman's Dinner donates one third of the money raised to Strathcarron Hospice and CHAS; the remaining one third in 2024 when £36,0000 was raised, went to My Name5 Doddie Foundation.
