Rotary in Ramsey is open for membership to anyone who is interested in volunteering in the local community and we encourage membership from any gender.

We are a very welcoming group of people and have 33 Members, including 12 Ladies and three honorary Members. We range in age from 30-ish to 65+ and would particularly love to welcome working adult members to join us.
Rotary in Ramsey still enjoys the company of one our founder Members, Richard Hyde MBE who helped create the Club some 56 years ago and remains very active to this day.
We support many local and International good causes. If you live, work or have any connection to Ramsey and the surrounding villages, please do come and experience first hand the benefits of joining Rotary - we want you to join us! #volunteer #volunteering

Our members make a difference at home and around the world.

We are a very social group and meet weekly, as detailed in our Programme on this website.

We are Rotary!

We are 1.4 million neighbours, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world.

Our differing occupations, cultures, and countries give us a unique perspective. Our shared passion for service helps us accomplish the remarkable.

We are active and proud of our work including;

• working with local schools and supporting local young people
• helping young unemployed people find work
• advocating the ending of polio
• building schools and providing books to improve literacy
• providing clean drinking water & sanitation where there is none
• networking and helping other local clubs and groups
• providing emergency relief aid around the world
• fundraising for charities and good causes
• undertaking hands-on work within the local community
• organising community events like Dragon Boat Races, Santa Fun Runs, Bike Rides and 10K Races

Polio eradication

The crippling and sometimes fatal disease of polio is still a very harrowing reality for children in parts of Africa and Asia and threatens children everywhere.

Rotary has made polio eradication its top priority since 1985 and every pound Rotary raises becomes £3 with generous support by Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. To date around US$1 Billion has been raised.
