"Welcome to Rotary in Godalming.

As we celebrate our 90th year in Godalming, we'd love you to join us and bring your ideas, enthusiasm and energy to help make a real difference in our community.

This year, my focus for the Club is Supporting Young People in Godalming. We will be working alongside the fantastic charities already making a difference locally, supporting their projects, organising fundraising events, taking part in their activities, and raising awareness of the invaluable work they do.

Throughout the year, we will be proudly supporting organisations including Surrey Care Trust, Green Hub, Skillway and The Meath, helping to strengthen opportunities for young people across our town.

Together, we can achieve even more for the next generation."

International
We take on various humanitarian projects in the International field and are proud of some of our past projects which have been adopted worldwide, such as help for the Jaipur Limb organisation. See the "What We Do" page for more information.

Rotary in Godalming

Rotary has been active in Godalming for 90 years, contributing greatly to local community life.

• The Rotary Club of Godalming meets Tuesday lunchtimes.

• The Rotary Club of Godalming Woolsack meets Monday evenings.

• A joint breakfast meeting is held monthly on the 3rd Friday and a Pub Night monthly from April 2026.

Both clubs welcome men and women who want to make a difference locally and globally. Together, they support major international campaigns like End Polio Now and Shelter Box. Thanks to Rotary’s efforts, polio is nearly eradicated worldwide. Shelter Box provides emergency shelter and supplies for families affected by disasters.

Locally, both clubs support charities such as:

• Skillways (training and mentoring teenagers)

•  Cut Out Cancer supporting the Royal Surrey Hospital.

Rotarians also help at local events such as town festivals The Duck Race and Rotary Spring Fair. We encourage youth involvement through competitions like Young Environmentalist , Young Writter,  Young Chef, Youth Debate, and Young Musician.

Our social programme includes exchanges with our Twin Rotary Club in Aire-sur-la-Lys, France.
