About us

MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT, JOY BAILEY

Would you like to help your local community? Joining your local Rotary club will give you the ideal opportunity to make new friends and have fun while helping others.

Our fundraising events this year are for Young Carers Somerset, Yeovil Freewheelers Blood Bikes and other local charities.

We are organising a Halloween Bingo, Wine Call My Bluff, a Line Dance and The Great Langport Duck Race, which will be in May.

The club is holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning and collecting donations for Water Survival Box.

Exciting news is that we are working with Huish Episcopi Academy to offer Rotary youth competitions and mock interviews.

HALLOWEEN FAMILY BINGO Friday 24th October '25

Come and have some fun at our spooky bingo!

A fun day at Langport & Somerton Surgery's Open Day where we found willing helpers to man the pump and turn filthy water into safe, clean drinkable water.
Donations came to £87, several ladies promised to turn out their airing cupboards and
sewing rooms to find fabrics for the sustainable sanitary products and we enjoyed lovely
cakes and hot dogs from the barbeque.

THE LEVELS SCHOOL, ASHCOTT

President Robert Maxwell, Clive Sills and Jane Redfearn went to visit The Levels School,
a specialist school for children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
While there they were shown around by Victoria Billany, Their SENCO.

CAR BOOTING ON COCKLEMOOR A beautiful day for manning the Rotary stall.
Lots of quality goods and plenty of customers. A very pleasant way to
fundraise.

Finally, we handed over our cheque from a line dance fundraiser and our Charity Bash. Caroline Osborne, Consultant Breast Surgeon came to receive it and afterwards we were shown where the new unit is going to be built - hopefully starting soon.
