Local primary schools attended this year’s event at St Patrick’s Primary.

Quiz Night (Uganda Project)

A Quiz Night and wine tasting to raise funds for a school building project in Uganda organised by the Uphill Trust. Other activities, fundraising by the charity and a Rotary district helped to raise the sum of £4500.

EPN Afternoon Tea

Raising funds for Rotary's End Polio campaign with afternoon sandwiches and cakes. Another enjoyable and successful event raising over £2000 for the fight to end polio.

Friends & Family - Burns Night

David Westwood addressed the haggis and Holy Willie's Prayer. Sam Peoples did the piping. Music from Remagen. Mark chaired and provided a Burns quiz.

A presentation about workshops and support for youngsters on the autistic spectrum and their parents. Earlier new member Russell McGregor was inducted.

Our annual concert for local seniors at Burns Parish church was well supported. Thanks to Slainte, Silver Singers and Croy Silver Band for the entertainment.

World Polio Day

Some familiar buildings and places are lit up in purple to mark World Polio Day and Rotary’s continuing commitment to ending polio worldwide.

We hosted this competition again, with teams from various North Lanarkshire schools. Winners of the 3 levels levels were Chryston, Coltness and Kilsyth

Friends & Family, Burns Night

We celebrated Burns in our own way with contributions from guests and members. Rhona was presented with a deserved Paul Harris Fellowship and a club citation award for club achievements in 22-23. A most enjoyable evening.

Race Night

Another fundraising, fun filled night at the races. Held at the Golf Club, everyone enjoyed the event.

Young Philanthropist Competition

7 groups of S2 pupils at Kilsyth Academy representing different local charities research and presented their case in front of a judging panel. Winners this year was a group making the case for Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Care.

Senior Citizens' Concert

We're back indoors this year for the annual concert, this time in Burns and Parish Church hall. We are grateful to our entertainers - Slainte, The Silver Singers and Croy Silver Band.

Crocuses that we have planted in various parts of the town over the years to mark Rotary's End Polio campaign provide a fine display.

Technology Competition

A record number of schools took part in this year's west zone district competition organised by the club and held at Kilsyth Academy. Winners of the senior competition was Kilsyth Academy with Dalziel HS winning intermediate and Chryston HS foundation.

On Call Africa

On Call Africa has a new ambulance. Money was raised by Kilsyth club with assistance from other clubs in the district and funding through Rotary Foundations grants. The new off-road vehicle has arrived in Zambia and is already in action.

Charity Golf Tournament

The club organised its first ever Charity Golf tournament held on Friday June 5 at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club. Monies raised will be directed to Rotary Foundation and End Polio Now. There was a good response with over 20 teams participating.

Kilsyth Civic Week

Kilsyth Rotarians were out in numbers for the Civic Week Gala Day. Our plant stall sold a variety of bedding and hanging basket plants and , for the first time, we operated a successful tea room in Burngreen Hall.

Senior Citizens' Concert

Tea/ coffee and baking following entertainment for local senior citizens groups. Entertainment was provided by Celtic Distractions who played a variety of music including folk and Scottish.
