We will once again be enjoying an informal evening at the local Portuguese cafe, A Tasca, Rtn Bill will be coordinating names etc for this evening
Wed 13th November 2024 Special General Meeting - Election of Officers, 13th Nov
The Club will be electing candidates for the forthcoming 2025-26 Rotary Year. This will also be the monthly Business meeting and any Council business raised.

Our 5th new member this year, Adam is sharing a little bit about himself and his interests, job and general facts - we look forward to hearing more about Adam

Chris has invited Howard Laver from the Soham Men's Shed group to come and share with us all about their activities within the community.
Wed 23rd October 2024 Fellowship Meeting - Steve Kear - 23rd Oct
Steve's guest will be Matthew Galvin. He is a young man (15) who has been selected for a volunteering expedition Thailand in 2026. He has to raise £4000 by various means. His mum, Natasha, will join us as we hear about this challenge
Wed 16th October 2024 Fill Your Plate for Polio - 16th Oct
Rtn Steve will be pulling together a buffet evening at the local Indian Restaurant - The Ali Taj, where we will be doing several activities to raise funds to continue helping this Global Rotary initiative.World Polio Day is 24th October.
Wed 9th October 2024 Special General Meeting - Accounts : 9th Oct
Treasurer Stuart will take members through the accounts for 2023-24 and the forward projection of budgeted costs. We will also be holding our regular business meeting.

The last of our four new members, Rod, will be taking the stage to share with us a bit more information about himself, previous employment, experiences and anything else he would like us to know.

Tonight is Claire's turn to share with Club members a little about her and her background and experiences. This is part of getting to know our new members early on in their association with the Club.

Following this year's Beer & Music Festival - we will be hosting a presentation evening where the benefiting charities, EACH and Walking in Your Shoes will receive donations. Guests are most welcome - Meal probably roast - numbers to Stuart

President Stuart had another duo of new members to welcome into the Club - Claire Needs and Rod Burke having been visiting guests for a few weeks, decided to join the Club and help members continuing to give a bit back to the community.

Pres Stuart, in one of his first duties of the Rotary Year, has inducted new Rotarians, Neil Stittle (L) and Nik Harris. Members welcomed them and wishes them a long and fruitful journey in Rotary.

Due to the unexpected success of the ENGLAND football team and the semifinal clash with The Netherlands falling on our planned meeting - The meeting for this week, 10th July is cancelled
Sun 7th July 2024 Aquafest
Elly Rotary Clubs will be holding their annual Aquafest event in Jubilee Gardens from 11.30 until 5pm - Soham members will be assisting
Wed 3rd July 2024 Walking in Your Shoes presentation - 3rd July
Pres. Stuart handed £255 to Mike Donahugh. Mike received the amount for the local Dementia charity, Walking in Your Shoes. The money had been raised as Past Pres Steve's nominated Charter Charity. Mike was very appreciative of the support.
