Saima discussed the difficulties that visually impaired people face. She highlighted how difficult it was for her during the regeneration of Bradford.

In the UK 4.3 million children are living in poverty which equates to 9 children in every class of 30 going hungry. Government reports show that 5 year olds in the UK are shorter, up to 7cms, than children in other comparable countries.

Crina links with the Rotary Club of Cluj Napoca, Rumania and shared knowledge of the MBisMB initiative, now numerous clubs in Rumania are spreading this programme. A great example of how you can tap into local or international projects through Rotary.

Thu 16th January 2025 Rotary Inter Country Committees ICC

Rotarian Crina spoke to us ICC. She is very involved with a project called My Body is My Body, https://mbimb.org/about/ which is partnered with Rotary International ICC.

They work with mums babies and dads. Prevention of ill health is their vision, it is no good saving mothers and babies lives if they do then not have access to good medical care, food, education and income and a sound family base.

Anita a past Rotarian of Bronte gave an update on her charity, a small UK-based charity of four health professionals, committed to and passionate about supporting the most vulnerable families Kilifi districts in Kenya.

Leaders don't always have to be the loudest
Have confidence in your own ideas but be willing to be flexible
Delegation is the key, you cannot do everything yourself.
