Photography has the power to capture special places, moments and memories.

The Rotary Young Photographer competition gives participants the chance to express themselves through photography, interpret the competition’s annual brief in an imaginative way.

The Rotary Young Photographer competition is run over the course of a school year, in three or four different heats; club level, district, regional* and culminating in the national final.

*some areas will not hold a regional heat

Age categories

The competition is open to students in full time education in three age groups:

• Junior                    7 – 10 years
• Intermediate        11 – 13 years
• Senior                   14 – 17 years
